2016 NFL CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND PREVIEW

Is it really that surprising that the 3 quarterbacks most talked about in the discussion for the 2016 MVP award find themselves in conference championship games? If I had a vote I’d vote for Matt Ryan, but I’m sure you can make excellent cases for both Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers. My beloved Cowboys are gone so I have no dog in the fight, but considering I’m a lifelong Cowboys fan and a huge Peyton Manning fan, it’s safe to say my rooting interests now lie solely with the Atlanta Falcons. Here is to hoping Matt Ryan not only gets his first MVP but also his first Super Bowl ring!

AWAY QUICK THOUGHTS HOME
Computer Hope Not much of an analysis here. The Falcons have to slow down Aaron Rodgers or else the Packers QB will find a way to beat them. Last week Dallas gave him 35 seconds and a couple of timeouts and Rodgers walked away with a win. That said, Green Bay won’t be facing a rookie QB this week but rather a wily veteran poised to take his seat at the Super Bowl table. I don’t think we could have gotten a better NFC Championship game. Computer Hope
Computer Hope In his career versus New England, Roethlisberger is 3-5 completing 62% of his passes for 285yds/G with 17TD to 6INT. Tom Brady is 7-2 all time against the Steelers completing 70% of his passes for 314yds/G with 24TD to 3INT. The Steelers have won 9 straight & in those 9 games they’ve allowed 16.6PPG. New England has the #1 scoring defense in the NFL. A lot will be made about the QBs & rightly so, but defense wins championships. Computer Hope
