2016 NFL FOOTBALL WEEK 11 – BIG GAMES

AWAY QUICK THOUGHTS HOME
Computer Hope I’ve been on the Saints bandwagon all season long but this game is one that I hate. The Saints are coming off a home loss to Denver which they lost because of special teams. Now they go on the road to a Panthers team that is 2-1 in their last 3 and coming off a tough loss against Kansas City. This one feels like a knockout game for New Orleans. The Panthers are primed to win this one sending the Saints to 4-6 & most likely out of the NFC playoff picture. Computer Hope
Computer Hope I still think the Browns might have a win in them this season but it seems highly unlikely to come against the Steelers this week even with the game being played in Cleveland. Pittsburgh has lost 4 straight games & are 2-5 in their last 7. It makes you wonder if this is really a good football team? With Baltimore in Dallas, this is a great opportunity for the Steelers to get back to even with the Ravens. They need to get something going & they start this week. Computer Hope
Computer Hope I’ve been down on Baltimore all season long because they are somewhat of a flawed team. They have taken advantage of schedule & poor play by both Cincinnati & Pittsburgh to parlay their first 9 games into a 5-4 record & the AFC North lead. They’ll get a TON OF RESPECT if they can go into Arlington & take down the 8-1 Cowboys. I don’t expect it to happen. More and more, Dallas seems like a team of destiny. That O-Line could very well win a Super Bowl. Computer Hope
Computer Hope OK Detroit. You are in 1st place in the NFC North. You have a home game against one of the worst teams in the NFL. What are you going to do? This seems like one of those games where the Lions might lose & completely screw up the North. I wouldn’t be surprised in the least if that does happen, but this is an opportunity for the Lions to stretch their lead & dominate a weaker opponent proving they belong in the playoff conversation within the NFC. Computer Hope
Computer Hope Everyone is going to talk about Andrew Luck and Marcus Mariota, but forget that. This game is going to be about PRESSURE! The Titans actually lead the NFL in sack differential with +14. The Colts on the other hand are dead last at -16. I don’t see how Indy can stop Brian Orakpo, Jurrell Casey & Derrick Morgan from getting loose. Andrew Luck is going to have to make tremendous plays to avoid sacks. I think Tennessee starts scaring people here. Computer Hope
Computer Hope Who would have thought Buffalo would be 4-5 and Cincinnati 3-5-1 coming into this one? It sounds weird but I think this is an elimination game for both teams. With Miami emerging in the East and Baltimore winning games, neither the Bills nor the Bengals can afford to take on a 6th loss especially with the AFC West looking like it might have 3 different 10-12 win teams. The Bills are the scarier team, but Cincinnati is playing at home. Tough game. Computer Hope
Computer Hope Jameis Winston has taken on two defenses of note this year, Denver & Arizona. The Bucs lost those games by the combined score of 67-14. In those two games Jameis Winston went 44/87 (50.6%) for 422 yards with 1TD/6INT. The Chiefs will be the 3rd defense of note that Tampa has faced. If the trend continues, expect Winston to have a horrific game, which he is due for anyway. A win here makes the Chiefs 8-2. What a job Andy Reid is doing in KC. Computer Hope
Computer Hope I’m not entirely convinced the Bears are the dumpster fire that the media is making them out to be, but if the rumors are true that Jay Cutler has completely lost the locker room then it’s worse than I thought. I don’t expect the Bears to win this game which would make New York 7-3 which is amazing. A subtle storyline to this game is the rumors that Tony Romo could find himself in Chicago next season. That would certainly be interesting for the Bears. Computer Hope
Computer Hope This isn’t unlike the Buffalo/Cincinnati game. A win makes Arizona 5-4-1 which isn’t fantastic, but it would give them a better record than Minnesota who would drop to 5-5 and it would also give them the tiebreaker. If Philly loses in Seattle, it would also catapult the Cardinals ahead of the Eagles & could possibly tie them with Washington if the Redskins lose to Green Bay. Of course, it’s meaningful for the Vikings too. They’ve lost 4 straight & need one. Computer Hope
Computer Hope Miami is in the same position as Detroit. They have momentum and they are facing a team they should beat, but now that everyone is aware they aren’t going away, can the Dolphins play the role of the hunter as good as the role of the hunted? Rams #1 overall QB Jared Goff is going to suit up and given the O-Line woes the Rams are suffering from, Miami’s front-7 should have a field day. SHOULD! A win puts the Phins at 6-4 with 5 straight victories! Computer Hope
Computer Hope The Patriots are coming off a loss. Tom Brady is going home. The 49ers are arguably the worst team in the NFL. Do we even need to play this game? New England is going to win this game and win it big. I’d expect Martellus Bennett to have a monster game with Gronkowski out of the lineup getting an extra week of rest & for LeGarrette Blount to run wild on the 49ers defense. The Patriots should keep pace with the Chiefs, Raiders, and Broncos for the #1 seed. Computer Hope
Computer Hope The one thing that was really impressive about watching Seattle against New England is the play of RB CJ Prosise. The Seahawks have had trouble with their running game all season long and it has shown at certain times. Prosise against the Patriots showed his legitimate 3-down capabilities rushing for 68 yards on 17 carries but also catching 7 balls for 87 yards. As if Seattle wasn’t tough enough to play. I like Philly with Carson Wentz, but Seattle rolls here. Computer Hope
Computer Hope It’s not just that the Packers are losing games, but they are playing sloppy football while they’re at it. Against the Titans last week they were -3 in TO margin and committed 10 penalties. The tough part about the Titans is that they put on tremendous pressure. Washington is no different & the Redskins have a better backend to the defense. You have to wonder what is going on in Green Bay. It almost seems like they need to rebuild for Rodgers’ final years there. Computer Hope
Computer Hope This looks like a great game on paper because Oakland is 7-2 and Houston is 6-3, but I think Houston has gotten by this season with being a weak team so it’s a good proving game for the Texans if they can be competitive with the Raiders. Oakland doesn’t seem to be going away and that offense is for real. Playing at home and motivated to stay with Kansas City & Denver, I could see this one getting out of hand especially if Khalil Mack turns up the heat. Computer Hope
