No Sleep Till Football

Like Brooklyn Except It's Football

RIP Gary Carter

Gary Carter, former catcher for the New York Mets & Montreal Expos, has finally succumbed to brain cancer. Carter was playing in the major leagues before I was even born, but he definitely was a big time player during my formative years as a baseball fan. The National pasttime will always & forever be my favorite game. Gary Carter will certainly be missed. Especially by those of us who idolized him as young kids watching him win the 1986 World Series title. It’s sort of to think of Carter for me because I always view him as a Mets player because he was in NYC when I was a little kid, but really he’s forever an Expos player. RIP Gary.
