Clemson Bags Another LB – Stephone Anthony

After picking up a commit from uber-stud LB Tony Steward, Dabo Sweeney & crew decided they needed another 5-star LB in Stephone Anthony! Anthony has drawn comparisons to Alabama’s Nico Johnson which is high company indeed. I love the ball-hawking ability of this 6’2/220lbs prospect. He’s got a lot of speed but doesn’t shy away from contact. I love him from a weakside LB spot, although that is where I like Steward as well. Anthony could profile too as a MLB or even potentially an OLB in a 3-4 set. Clemson runs a base 4-3, but with the linebackers Sweeney is pulling down, they might want to get as many of their playmakers on the field as they possibly can. Still, Steward & Anthony could lock down the LB position for the next 3 years. Tremendous day for the Clemson!
