No Sleep Till Football

Like Brooklyn Except It's Football

There Isn’t A Doubt About It

LeBron James has come out and said he can win the scoring title every single time if he wanted to. In an ESPN article, James stated:

“If I really wanted to,” James said, “if I really wanted to be the scoring [champion] every single year — every single year — I could really do it. But it doesn’t matter.”

James is right. He is the best player in the NBA. And it’s not even close. If LeBron wanted to drop 50 every single night he could. There is simply nobody that can guard him. Have you seen Kobe try to guard LeBron? LeBron has 60lbs on him, is a better ball handler, is faster and can jump higher. Kobe is a great player, but his athleticism doesn’t even compare to LeBron’s. That is how far ahead of everyone else LeBron is.

It’s why he’s the King. It’s why he’s going down as the single greatest player in basketball history. LeBron could average a triple double easily. We haven’t seen anything like him. He’s 25-years old for crying out loud!

I’ll never quite understand how the NBA isn’t he most popular sport in the U.S. I know the country is a crazed football country, but I don’t get it. The NBA is incredible. I know the regular season can get sort of mundane and the players aren’t getting after it the way they are in the playoffs, but the playoffs in the NBA are the single best athletic competitions on the planet. I don’t know if it’s a marketing thing or if the sport is simply too black to get back to what it was at one time, but it’s a great sport.

Move over Michael, the King has come!
