Barnes Nails Top-10; Tackles Spyglass Hill

Last week, my man Ricky Barnes came away with his first top-10 finish of 2010! Barnes fired a 2-under 69 on Sunday to finish in sole possession of 9th place last week at the Northern Trust Open. He finished the tournament with a 9-under 275. Barnes finished 7-strokes behind winner Steve Stricker. Stricker played like a man possessed last week and it was fairly clear than Ricky wasn’t going to get his first win of the 2010 season, but a top-10 was certainly in sight.

Luckily for us Ricky Barnes fans, our man came through! The 9th place finish was good enough for $185,600 which was more than Barnes had won in all of his 2010 tournaments combined! Here is how Barnes has done to date:

Northern Trust Open (2/4-2/7): 9th, 9-under, $185,600
Farmer’s Insurance Open (1/28-1/31): T22nd, 6-under, $50,880
Bob Hope Classic (1/21-1/24): T33rd, 18-under, $26,417
Sony Open (1/14-1/17): T62nd, 1-over, $11,825
TOTAL MONEYED EARNED: $274,722

Note that Ricky has made the cut in all 4 tournaments he’s played in so far which is tied for the lead among PGA Tour golfers! He’s also moved up to 27th in earnings and is now 24th in FedEx Cup points.

This week, Barnes will tackle Spyglass Hill at the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am! I’m feeling like a win this week baby!

LET’S GET THIS ONE RICKY BARNES!!!!
